VCGI will present at the 2019 Vermont Development Conference on November 6, 2019 at the Hilton Waterfront Hotel, 60 Battery Street Burlington, Vermont.

Our talk will focus on the folllowing:

Development in the Know: Making your job easier with online maps

Who owns that property? What is its assessed value? How much developable land does it have? What existing permits are on the property? Does it qualify for any state incentives? Accessing this information is now easier than ever thanks to newly available data and web mapping applications readily available at your fingertips. From grand list-joined parcel data, high-resolution land cover, 1’ contours, and building footprints, to ANR permits, designation program boundaries, and floodplains – learn how to access public data to kickstart planning, design and development purposes. This session will demonstrate how to find and use public data, provide example applications, and show you how to quickly answer questions about a property right there in the room.

Audience will be welcomed to ask questions after the presentation, and adequate time will be allotted for Q&A.

Fall NEARC 2019

Save the date! The Fall NEARC 2019 Conference will be held Sunday, October 20 - Wednesday, October 23 at Sunday River Resort in Newry, Maine.

Stay tuned for more details here, and in our event calendar as details are confirmed.

About Fall NEARC:

NEARC is not just for the GIS faithful. Yes, NEARC is for GIS practitioners, but NEARC is for anyone who wants to see the value GIS technology brings to their own environment and the world. This conference is very valuable for new users as well as those who have been using GIS for many years.
If you are going to attend NEARC this fall, you might consider also bringing along your Supervisor, Town Manager, DPW Director, IT Director, and your Finance Manager; anyone who would benefit from seeing the value of GIS first hand. You will absolutely walk away saying "NEARC is worth every penny!"
